An Ayurvedic skincare brand gets a facelift
The Company: Cheriss is a 40-year-old family-run business with a history that literally has its beginnings on the kitchen stove. With a deep foundation in Ayurveda, the company focused on natural, chemical free skincare products well before it became the industry norm. Priding themselves as manufacturers for some of the leading skincare brands and hotel spas over the past few decades, venturing into the modern retail world was a brave new step.
Design: The new branding and packaging retain a classical restraint, mindful of the company's history. It introduces a youthful vibrance, with a vivid palette and bold illustrations celebrating the key natural ingredients. A conscious decision was made to begin by only launching four of the best-selling products in unique fragrances, with a plan for a more elaborate future rollout. This meant designing a visual system that felt complete in its pared down form, and yet had scope to expand as the brand progressed and new products were launched.
